Year 9 student, Luke Harvey has continued his impressive run of achievements as an aspiring young triathlete, after an amazing performance at the recent School Sport Australia National Triathlon Championships held in Bendigo, Victoria. In extremely difficult and wet conditions, he had to 'tackle' a 400m swim, 12km up-hill bike ride and a 3km run. Along the way, Luke had to overcome many challenges, including a bike crash and two asthma attacks. Despite these difficulties he still managed to place seventh overall, which is an incredible effort in any circumstance. Luke is also currently preparing for the Queensland Schools Cross Country Championships as a member of the Metropolitan East Regional team. We congratulate him for his outstanding achievements and wish him the best of luck at the upcoming State Cross Country Championships.
