Last term Victoria Point State High School competed in the inaugural school’s challenge as part of the 48 hour Run for Redlands Charity Relay held locally at the Sharks Sporting Club. The school entered three teams in the event and competed with five other local schools. Each team had to run as many laps as they could in a 60 minute race against the clock. Of course, as a charity event each team was also asked to make a donation as part of their entry. All funds raised were donated to the Redlands Hospital and the Redlands Centre for Women.

Two trophies were awarded on the day – one for the school who completed the most laps, and another for the school who raised the most funds. Victoria Point State High School Students did an exceptional job on the afternoon and were successful in being awarded both perpetual shields. The students involved should all be very proud of their efforts. We look forward to returning next year to defend our titles.

Team 1 Aliera Dauth, Brieanne Hersey, Amelia Smith, Ben Hasler, Lachlan Bennett, Brooklyn Rota
