During her years with us at Victoria Point High School Sasha appeared in the local press when she was chosen from 100’s of applicants from all over the country to attend work experience in Sydney at Animal Logic Animation, Fox studios. Animal Logic Animation were the makers of Happy Feet, Legend of the Guardians and other similar movies. She was also responsible for the design and creation of the school Sports Mascots in 2009. The original creations were on display in the school Student Centre but have recently been re-mastered. These re-mastered images have been printed and framed in poster size format. They will be on display and presented to a school representative on the night for future display at the school.
Since leaving school Sasha has also visited Media teacher Mrs Jo Bierton on a number of occasions to assist with program writing/content for a school based Animation/Media course and has also voluntarily mentored a grade 12 student who has chosen a similar career path.
At the age of 21 she is now launching her own business – ‘PacketJuice Pictures’. Her work will comprise a range of artistically created design work using a variety of media, from illustration, concept art and animation, tooning, and the design of business logo’s/banners. She hopes to target both personal and business customers. Sasha's website will be available to view very shortly.
A number of councillors have shown their support by confirming their attendance, including Julie Talty and Lance Hewlett. The event is free so please come along and have a look at what Sasha’s been doing since she left our school. There will also be refreshments, a raffle and a chance to obtain some original artworks by Sasha.
