The School Council is a committee of nominated members of the school community, including parents, teaching staff and members of administration, who work towards improved student learning outcomes by exercising specified functions and are guided by the broad strategic direction of the school.
Examples of the School Council's role include; input into the school's future planning, focus groups for the school's community brand, and the creation of a communication network between parents and the school.
In 2014, the School Council will be focused on delivering Education Queensland's Parent and Community Engagement Framework with focus groups centred on the key elements of communication, learning partnerships and community collaboration. Through active participation, it is anticipated that a positive difference in our student's education can be made.
