Device Selection:

Victoria Point State High School has developed a specifications document to assist students and their families to choose a suitable device.  The minimum specifications are the basic requirements of a device intended for use at Victoria Point State High School.  It may be possible to use other devices, however you may encounter errors with connectivity and classroom use. Information regarding this can be found in the Bring Your Own Device @ VPSHS Overview (PDF, 790KB).

Please also review the BYOD Policy (PDF, 3.3MB) before having your student's device connected to the school network.

Technical Support:

The school offers basic diagnostic support for student owned laptops at our IT Help Desk. However, warranty, security, insurance and maintenance is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

The installation of  anti-virus software is a compulsory requirement.  Laptops require anti-virus software to connect to the school network.
