Primary school partnerships
We work closely with our local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition into high school. We hold subject information and enrolment evenings, orientation days, an inclusive education orientation program, days of excellence and Principal's tours to allow students not only to engage in enhanced learning opportunities, to meet with other students from within the cluster but also to familiarise themselves with our culture for learning.
Information regarding these events are routinely advertised through the school Facebook page and communicated with partner primary schools.
Uni reach
Uni Reach is a partnership program between Griffith University and Victoria Point State High School. It aims to support Year 11 and 12 students who have an interest in going to University after school. The program dispels the myths and misunderstandings about University, responds to all concerns and explains life on campus as well as the many advantages of completing a university degree. Victoria Point State High School students have responded favourably to the enthusiastic and informative Griffith University team of leaders and ambassadors over the 6 years the program has been running.
