At Victoria Point State High School students are required to attend school on every day that the school is open, unless otherwise advised. Student absence adversely affects the educational engagement and achievement for students. The school must account for every absence of every student and record the attendance data in 'Daymap'.
As outlined in our school Attendance Policy Booklet (PDF, 344KB) parents or carers of a student who is absent from school must provide a letter, a note from their parent or caregiver explaining the reason for the absence or a phone call student absences line explaining the reason for the absence.
For more information, please see our Attendance Policy Fact Sheet (PDF, 216KB).
