I would like to extend a warm welcome back to new and existing VPSHS families as we commence Term 2. We continue to strive towards all students engaging in a culture to Learn, Think, Perform through Respect, Integrity and Responsibility so that all students are succeeding. We will achieve this through ensuring high expectations for all students, communicating and demonstrating respectful partnerships between students, parents and staff that value active participation in our classrooms and within our community in and beyond the school gates.

Today, we celebrated the successes of our sporting students in the pool and on Friday we honour the memory of those who have fought for our country in various military conflicts, both past and present at this year's ANZAC Commemorative Service. We are looking forward to showcasing our school's teaching and learning strengths as we participate in a Priority School Review and gain valuable feedback from the four reviewers on-site from 9 – 12 May 2022.

Queensland state schools will be operating under COVID normal conditions. However, in some circumstances, schools maybe required to implement restrictions. These will be advised, if and when applicable using email, Facebook and/or SMS.

If you or any members of your household develop symptoms or feel unwell, please get tested immediately and stay home and isolate. Further information including testing centres, alerts and symptoms of COVID-19, can be found via the Queensland Government https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/ website.

If a student becomes symptomatic at school, they will be immediately isolated in a safe place, and their parents/carer will be contacted to collect their child. When the student is collected the parent/carer will receive a RAT to administer at home.

Victoria Point State High School will continue to observe Education Queensland Guidelines for hygienic practices aligned to Queensland Health advice and maintain COVID-19 safe work practices including on-going COVID cleaning and sanitising routines.
